[…]The technology allows users to invade communications networks, see what enemy sensors see and even take over as systems administrator so sensors can be manipulated into positions so that approaching aircraft can’t be seen, they say. The process involves locating enemy emitters with great precision and then directing data streams into them that can include false targets and misleading messages algorithms that allow a number of activities including control.
Das ist natürlich alles furchtbar peinlich für die Russen, die den Syrern das System gerade erst verkauft hatten, und das sollte ja deren Top-of-the-Line Modell sein.Gut, man weiß nicht, wie viel davon FUD ist, aber das klingt ja schon so, als würden Kriege heute nicht mit Raketen sondern mit 0-days geführt. Im Übrigen ist das natürlich auch für Russland selbst wichtig, die setzen das ja auch bei sich selbst ein, und für alle anderen Kunden von deren Raketenabwehr — und das sind nicht wenige. Wichtigster anderer Kunde: der Iran. Die verlassen sich ja im Moment auch weitgehend darauf, dass die Russen-Luftabwehr sie beschützen wird.
