The most controversial paragraph in the final text leaves the door open for countries to introduce the so-called three-strikes rule. This would cut Internet users off if they download copyright material as national authorities would be able to order ISPs to disclose personal information about customers.
Na super. Aber ist nicht so furchtbar wie befürchtet, denn:The agreement as it stands would not require any change in E.U. legislation, but could have an impact on other parties whose laws on intellectual property are less well defined.
Update: Stimmt nicht ganz. Die haben nicht direkt ACTA zugestimmt, sondern der EU-Kommission eine Art Blank-Scheck ausgestellt. Kommt aber letztlich aufs Gleiche raus, wenn man sich das Verhalten der EU-Kommission so anguckt. Es wird noch eine "echte" Abstimmung des Parlamentes dazu geben, aber wenn die jetzt schon mehrheitlich so stimmen, dann ist die Hoffnung nicht sonderlich groß, dass das bei der nächsten Abstimmung besser wird.
