Warum ist FEMA so nervös, fragt sich jetzt vielleicht der eine oder andere. Nun, es geht um die Waldbrände in Kalifornien, und FEMA wollte gerne die frohe Botschaft verbreiten, dass sie das dieses Mal weniger übel verkackt haben als bei Katrina. Und da wären Leute eher hinderlich, die echte Fragen mit Fakten bringen. Immerhin merken sie, dass das nach hinten los ging:
"It was absolutely a bad decision. I regret it happened. Certainly … I should have stopped it," said John "Pat" Philbin, FEMA's director of external affairs. "I hope readers understand we're working very hard to establish credibility and integrity, and I would hope this does not undermine it."
Aber wartet, es wird noch besser, das Weiße Haus (die mit dem Callboy) sagt:White House press secretary Dana Perino said Friday that "it is not a practice that we would employ here at the White House. We certainly don't condone it. We didn't know about it beforehand. … They, I'm sure, will not do it again."
Nee, klar, die würden NIE sowas machen.
